The Maitri Kunj Site-3 Residents Welfare Association (RWA), New Delhi – 110018, was registered in 2023 and elected by the residents in the same year. The committee was re-elected in 2026 and continues to represent the residents of Maitri Kunj Site-3.
We believe that a strong community is built through participation, care and a shared sense of responsibility. Our RWA members voluntarily contribute their time, experience and effort alongside their everyday lives, with the common aim of making Maitri Kunj a well-maintained, vibrant and welcoming neighbourhood.
Our work is entirely voluntary and community-focused. We address residents' concerns, take up civic and community matters, support local initiatives, keep residents informed and create opportunities for people to come together.
We also believe that a thriving community is one where every generation has a place to participate, contribute and feel connected. Children are an important part of this vision. Through cultural programmes, celebrations and community events, we provide opportunities for children to participate, showcase their talents and build confidence in a supportive community environment.
Community events and children-focused activities are supported through voluntary contributions from RWA members and associate members who choose to sponsor or participate in them. The expenses for such initiatives are shared among these members and sponsors and are kept separate from the RWA's security fund, residents' subscriptions and other common community funds.
Our aim is to build a community where residents stay informed, participate in neighbourhood life and work together towards a better shared environment.
A traditional Lohri get-together for all residents to celebrate the festival together as a community, as per the calendar date each year.
EventOur AGM is held every 26th January, where residents and the committee come together to discuss the society's affairs.
EventA community Holi get-together with gulal, food and drinks — snacks and cold drinks for everyone, as per the calendar date each year.
EventFlag hoisting followed by cultural activities in which children, elders, mothers and sisters of the society all take part, every year.
EventA community Dussehra celebration with Ravan Dahan at our Central Park, marking the victory of good over evil with the whole society coming together.
EventA free art competition for the children of the society, held roughly once every six months, giving them a platform to express themselves and showcase their creativity.
EventFree health check-up camps organised for the residents of the society roughly once every six months, in the interest of everyone's well-being.
CommunityA community Diwali celebration with diya lighting at the Central Park, bringing residents together for the festival of lights.
EventA Santa Claus round across the society for our children, with toffees, gifts and chocolates distributed to spread some Christmas cheer.
